A great book on Odinism

Osred wrote a great book on the Australian version of Odinism. This is his first book and hopefully not his last. There is a terrible shortage of books dealing with the Odinic faith. Osred gives details of early Odinist founders like Rud Mills, Evelyn Price, Annie Lennon, Else Christensen, Alec Christensen and others. This is info you can't find else where. This is not New Age Wiccan nonsense. This is real Heathenism. This book is Folkish, meaning "of our people". It's not written for fluffy bunnies. One of the best books written about our Odinist religion. A must read for anyone serious about Odinism.

a history of "Odinism"

This book manages to combine the history of the uniquely northern european religion "Odinism", its peoples and its religious ideals, then its conflicts and "assimilation" into christian europe. This book shows how the indigenous religion "Odinism" survived for hundreds of years after the arrival of christianity and the extreme violence and deceit that christians used to achieve victory, and even then pockets of "heathendom" still existed, and even up to the 19th century christians were still defiling the few remaining indigenous european religious sites.

The books most interesting idea shows that the form of christianity that developed in europe was one of "dual-faith" where an amalgamation of "Odinic" and christian values was occuring overtime. This process of "dual-faith" is still continuing and we are seeing the Odinic values becoming stronger again in todays world. ie. love of nature, freedom from tyranny, and actively standing up for your rights. The book helps prove this "dual-faith" idea by including several small biographies of people who promoted Odinic values or were outright Odinist over the last hundred years.

Included are plenty of historical references to northern sagas and religious practices but this books uniqueness is that it shows the progress of "Odinism" from the stone age to today.

This book says it all

Osred has interrogated our mixed Christian-Odinist heritage with similar but more good-natured results, and I love the occasional flashes of humour. No-one can now look back on the Period of Dual Faith without both pride in our achievements and regret for our failures.

This is a complete account of our ancestral faith, explaining exactly what it used to be, documenting how we got to this present stage in our spiritual evolution (mostly through Christian violence), and suggesting where we might go from here.

About the Author
Michael Graves has been performing since the age of 4. In fact Michael’s first memory of singing is harmonizing with the whine of his mothers vacuum cleaner at the age of 2. At age 4 he was singing with his mother and father in his fathers traveling Country and Western band. From those very formative performing years a long and gratifying career grew that spans 35+ years and still growing. He has performed at some of the worlds most prestigious venues like the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles , The Ryman Auditorium (Home of the Grand Ole Opry) and The Grand Ole Opry House among many many others. He has performed all over the United States, in Europe, and Asia. He has performed with and for several performers over the years including, Kirstie Alley, John Travolta, Kelly Preston, Giovanni Ribisi, David Campbell, Lisa Marie Presley, James Barbour, and many many more. Michael has throughout the years shared his knowledge and abilities as a singer and a performer with several students, aspiring musicians, singers, and performers and has finally put that vast knowledge of musical performance to paper and video in the book Singing From Scratch and the Singing From Scratch Video Course. Michael is a dedicated father and husband and is very proud of all of his children and their artistic abilities. Originally from Texas, he comes from a very large family of talented singers and performers.

Like anything, there's a science behind it

This book blew my mind! I have never considered that I had a musical bone in my body, but now I see that anyone who can talk can learn to sing. Like anything, there's a science behind it, and one just needs to learn it and practice. The author is smart, insightful, talented and writes with a casual and humorous style making the journey an enjoyable one.

This book simply puts a modern man into shame - is it possible that the solution to digestive problems that burden many people is so obvious and simple, and yet, it seems that most people fail to see it.

Te author, Andrew Perlot, gives a simple and logical solution for digestive easy, well backed up by science and empirical evidence. It is good to know that the author solved his own ulcerative colitis and that he is thriving on the dietary regime and lifestyle he recommends.

I am coming from the background of hurting my intestines pretty badly for years and even though I have been on a low fat raw vegan diet since February 2012, I would still feel some intestinal pain now and then. This book finally opened my eyes to what I was doing that was hurting me.

Thank you Andrew for sharing this invaluable knowledge and experience! I am sure it will be (and it certainly already is) a huge help to many people!

This Book is the Answer to Your Digestive Discomfort

I cannot recommend The Raw Food Digestive Tune-Up enough. Andrew shares his knowledge and experience in an easy-to-follow manner that is enjoyable to read. I really enjoy how the book breaks down disorders and symptoms, explaining each one clearly, as well as practical application of how to remove those unwanted symptoms. Questions that I had for a long time were answered and issues I always wondered about began to make sense for the first time in a clear, understandable way. On top of everything it was well written and really fun to read, which I find rare in this genre of books.
Applying the protocols suggested in The Raw Food Digestive Tune-Up I was able to heal my own digestive disorders, which plagued me for years, greatly decreasing the quality of my life. Good Stuff from Andrew

Andrew Perlot strikes again with a revealing glimpse into the nether regions of our digestive system - the MOST important "organ" in our body! Take CARE of it, and follow Andrew's "tune ups" and feel better - fast. And when that's taken care of, read Andrew's "Raw Food Weight Loss and Vitality" ebook/hardcover... that is also chock full of information for a sensible raw food diet. Don't let the word "raw" put you off - it simply means natural food that doesn't need cooking to eat... as mother nature intended.

This review left by Alan's wife, Susan - who is a self-admitted fan of Andrew Perlot who taught her to ditch the cooked food and eat real, wholesome fruits and veggies - lose weight - AND feel and look great! After surveying the scientific and technological developments that have brought us to this pass, The Ethics of Genetic Engineering focuses on the ethical and policy debate, noting the deep divide that separates proponents and opponents. The book locates the source of this divide in differing framing assumptions: reductionist pluralist on one side, holist communitarian on the other. The book argues that we must bridge this divide, drawing on the resources from both encampments, if we are to understand and cope with the distinctive problems posed by genetic engineering. These problems, termed "fractious problems," are novel, complex, ethically fraught, unavoidably of public concern, and unavoidably divisive. Berry examines three prominent ethical and political theories – utilitarianism, Kantianism, and virtue ethics – to consider their competency in bridging the divide and addressing these fractious problems.

The book concludes that virtue ethics can best guide parental decision making and that a new policymaking approach sketched here, a "navigational approach," can best guide policymaking. These approaches enable us to gain a rich understanding of the problems posed and to craft resolutions adequate to their challenges.

The book examines closely the fundamental forces behind the revolution along with its failed attempts to improve the country's fortunes on both the economic and political fronts."

A must read for someone who wants to aspire something great in public service

Republican on the throne is a good book which I found very engaging through out most of my reading. For young Ethiopians who aspire to know how a turn of event led to the revolution and then to our current plight should read this book and learn a great deal. Even though I am a big fan of Emperor Haile Selassie the author tries to point out where it goes wrong under the Emperor final years in power. As a cabinet member under the Emperor and then the early days of the military junta the author takes us where no one took us before the inside dealings under the military junta where millions were killed after they took power from the Emperor. It is sad to count out how many educated and people who were wiling to work for their country were perished under the evil leadership of Col. Mengistu Haile Mariam who still enjoys a safe harbor in Zimbabwe thanks to Mugabe.

The Author personal accounts in the three regime he experienced in Ethiopia has in the past half a century also shows how the country goes from an OK state to a one disastrous one. He also faced a false charge with the current government and thrown to a jail. For such distinguished person not only from locally but at international arena to be thrown in jail under false pretense shows how people in the government exploit the rule of law for personal reason says a lot about them and the political system the country face currently. It is sad after 37 years of highly anticipated revolution the country is still going backward and the young still try to advocate for a democracy with unworkable multi party system because it has no genuine honest basis.

I would like to thank the author for working on this memoir. He is not only show us things from different angel he also shed a light to many dark things we only know in not clear terms.
